About
Jenny is a Bristol-based artist whose practice predominantly involves semi-abstract landscape painting and creating bespoke, analogue commissions.
Jenny's paintings involve semi-abstract and surreal elements; they are ambiguous, personal experiences which evoke half-imagined landscapes and otherworldly vistas. The Sublime tradition heavily inspires Jenny's work, but she combines it with contemporary techniques, such as dripping the paint and creasing the canvas. This playful approach creates a relationship between process and representation, coaxing images out of the results of exploration.
Jenny graduated with a Fine Art degree from Bath Spa University in 2017 and has had several solo exhibitions since, including Vistas in 2017, Sublime in 2022, and A New Romanticism in 2023, also winning Art Battle Bath in January 2020. She is currently studying an MA Creative Practice through The Make Happen Institute and Plymouth Marjon University.
